To me, GDPR (and the new Data Protection Act) is an opportunity – and not a threat. The new legislation is about much more than increased fines for wrong-doers. It brings data protection into the modern world and – importantly- it creates an opportunity to use personal data in a more responsible way.

I’m an acknowledged thought-leader in how Marketers can take advantage of GDPR and the new Data Protection Act for competitive advantage.  

I have implemented data protection processes in the German Market, compliant with their “double optin” laws. These laws form the basis for the European GDPR legislation.


I’ve worked with a number of clients helping them to:

  • review their processes
  • create new privacy notices
  • implement double optin procedures for email sign up forms


Working for a local charity I created and implemented a new fundraising strategy, which included creating a new database from scratch and identifying processes and systems needed to confirm to the new Data Protection Act including GDPR.
